Our community offers close to $100,000 in local scholarship money! Please click on the scholarship information below with instructions on how to apply for each local scholarship. Important: Please download any Google Docs and save them as a PDF to share your documents.

The deadline for all of next year's local scholarships is February 23, 2024! You will email your application directly to the local scholarship contact for each scholarship.​

This scholarship requires a resume/cover letter. The student must have a 2.5 GPA or above. This scholarship may be used to attend Vo-tc, trade school, a two-year school, or a four-year college or university. Click here for the information page

​Bonner Springs/Edwardsville Chamber of Commerce
This scholarship requires a minimum 3.0 GPA or greater. Students are given special consideration if they are pursuing a business-type major, are actively involved in community organizations, and have financial needs.

This scholarship is for students who are current/paid members of the NAACP Youth Council and or whose parents or guardians are members of the Adult Branch. Must have a 3.0 GPA. You can complete the membership application here. Please complete the application that can be found here.

​Bonner Springs NAACP 2024 Scholarship- Dr. Jesse Milan Scholarship
This scholarship requires an essay and resume. This scholarship is looking for students who are leaders in: • Civil Rights • Education • Community Service for African Americans. *See attached bio of Dr. Jesse Milan Educator and Civil Rights Leader in Kansas. This scholarship is for any student continuing in a two- or four-year post-secondary program. Please complete the application that can be found here.

​BPW Bonner Springs Scholarship
This scholarship requires attending One BPW Meeting, Fundraiser, or Event. If physically unavailable to attend a meeting, fundraiser, or event due to being out of the area, a correspondence sharing with the club how school is going will be sufficient. This requirement must be met before the next Scholarship Application will be accepted. Must be a member in good standing (meaning dues are paid in full at the time of application). Obtain a Grade Point Average of 2.50 or higher. Submit your most recent transcript (official, unofficial, or copy). Resumé with a brief Career Goal Statement (not to exceed one page typed). This scholarship is for students planning to attend or already enrolled at a technical school or college seeking Industry Recognized Credentials for a career trade in engine technology either diesel or small engine, or equipment repair either farm or heavy. ​Edna Kloepper Memorial Scholarship
Students must have a minimum 3.2 GPA to apply and meet the other criteria requested on the application. This scholarship is anonymous. Please place a sticky note on your application with your name. This scholarship will be presented to an Edwardsville Elementary school alumni who attended for at least two years. Please include grades, transcripts, a resume, and a minimum of two paragraphs about why you should receive this scholarship. The application can be found here.

​Kreider Foundation Scholarship
Although this scholarship is in an application format, it will require an essay as well. There will be two seniors chosen and they will receive $1500.00 each for the year, but divided into $750.00 per semester. This is a need-based scholarship. The essay should include at least a paragraph about your family and you should demonstrate a need. Citizenship, leadership, and community service are important qualities for this selection. This scholarship is for students planning to attend a Kansas school. Please complete the application that can be found here.

​Kyle Gearheart Memorial Scholarship
A cover letter and resume should be written describing your plans, activities, honors, experiences, college choice, major, and career. The senior should choose a career in technical training or education, which can be found at colleges or vo-techs.

​New Century Club Arts Scholarship
The student should write a paper about his/her interest in the arts—what they have been doing in this and what they plan to do in the future. Make it informative and complete. Also, a portfolio of your work should be provided. There will be one scholarship in the amount of $500.00. Please complete the application that can be found here.

This scholarship will be presented to a student who is pursuing an education in a STEM field. Please provide a cover letter and resume including the information regarding pursuing an education in a math-related field.

Ray Cox Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship requires the following information to be included in your cover letter/resume. The applicant must be a student/athlete who has participated in a school-sponsored sport for all four years of high school, receiving a varsity letter at least once. This scholarship is anonymous. Please do not include your name anywhere on the cover letter or resume. They will identify your application by your email address.

This scholarship requires a resume/cover letter, however, it is anonymous. Your name should not be included anywhere on any of the paperwork turned in except a cover page. We will assign your cover page a number and number the scholarship paperwork to submit to the club. Please emphasize community service in your resume and cover letter. One of these scholarships will be based on school and community involvement. One of these scholarships will be awarded to a student planning to go to a vocational school.
