DUAL-ENROLLMENT CLASSES

There are several opportunities for college credit offered at the high school. Here are the classes we currently offer:

KCKCC - taught by KCKCC faculty at BSHS

  • Composition I 

  • Composition II

  • American History until 1877

  • American History from 1877

  • Public Speaking

  • Psychology

KCKCC - taught by BSHS faculty at BSHS

  • Anatomy & Physiology

  • Spanish I & II

  • Physics

​

How to enroll in these KCKCC classes:

  1. The student must apply online to KCKCC.

  2. Once the application has been accepted, the student will receive a student ID number from the college through email.

  3. The student will need to use this ID number to take the Accuplacer placement test. Testing is done at KCKCC or select times at BSHS. The student must earn the minimum score required for their intended class.

  4. All scores need to be turned in to your counselor. Testing must be completed prior to enrollment.

  5. Complete enrollment paperwork for KCKCC during BSHS enrollment.

MidAmerica Nazarene University - taught by BSHS faculty at BSHS

  • College Algebra

  • Calculus

​

Enrollment information for MNU classes will be provided to all College Algebra and Calculus students at the beginning of the Fall semester. Students must have a 3.0 GPA or higher to enroll for college credit.

TEC/CNA PROGRAMS

Through our partnership with KCKCC-TEC, students are able to enroll in a certificate program their junior or senior year. The programs include:

 

  • Auto Collision Repair

  • Auto Technology

  • Building and Property Maintenance

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

  • Computer Support Specialist

  • Construction Technology

  • Cosmetology

  • Culinary Arts

  • Electrical Technology

  • Heating and Refrigeration Technology 

  • Machine Technology

  • Major Appliance Technology

  • Multimedia/Video Production

  • Nail Technology

  • Office Assistant

  • Welding Technology
